Public Hard-No List

This is a public list of things Verja will not become. It exists because the hardest part of building good software isn't deciding what to add, it's deciding what to refuse.

What Verja will never be

• A real-time chat platform.
• An algorithmic feed.
• A place that surfaces engagement metrics.
• A creator-monetization platform.
• A livestream or video platform.
• A general-purpose website builder or CMS.
• An ad-supported network.
• A public social network chasing scale.
• An enterprise workplace tool.
• A marketplace or commerce platform beyond simple membership dues.
• A federated network by default or in a rush.

The standing rule is simple: this list can change only on purpose. Anything here is removed by a deliberate, public decision with a reason attached.

The discipline to stay small and clear is not a constraint on Verja. It is what Verja is.
